Hi!

My name is Ben Butterworth and I’m a NCTJ trainee journalist. Living in Bristol, England, I answer everyday questions using science and philosophy. I am driven by the belief that science is a public service and use my experience as a physics graduate and research administrator at the University of Bristol and editorial assistant at Diabetologia to look at research from all angles. I aim to help the public understand the impact science can have on our communities, both to help and harm them.
